Still fighting ankle trouble Franklin played through an ankle injury Sunday against Rutgers and would not be available if the Hoosiers had a weekday game this week, Dustin Dopirak of The Athletic reports.
Impact Franklin previously missed two games with an ankle issue but made his return Jan. 14 against Purdue and has seen 33 or more minutes in each of the three games since he's been back. Even acknowledging that the injury was an issue Sunday, the sophomore guard still came away with 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting. While Franklin will presumably be limited in practice this week as he recovers, the likely hope is that he'll be back Feb. 2 against Illinois. If the Hoosiers manage to add a game before then, however, his status would likely be unclear.
