Back in practice Cooper returned to Auburn practice this week, Mark Murphy of 247 Sports reports. Impact Coach Bruce Pearl is still awaiting a decision from a NCAA Committee regarding Cooper's eligibility, so the projected star freshman likely won't be competing Tuesday against Appalachian State. There's still no concrete timeline for that ruling, but Cooper's presence in practice is a good sign, suggesting that for now, he won't forego college altogether for the pros. He was even present on the sidelines for Saturday's victory over Troy, and while he did some early warmups, Cooper was ultimately not in uniform. Despite the lack of a return date, this remains a situation worth monitoring for fantasy players, who will instantly want to add Cooper upon his return. He'd be one of Auburn's best players and is likely to take over as the primary point guard. Until then, recent SEC Freshman of the Week Justin Powell will continue to hold down that role.
