Terquavion Smith - Struggles from field ThursdaySmith supplied 11 points (4-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, six assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Thursday's 76-64 victory over Dayton.
ImpactSmith needed 13 shots and two trips to the charity stripe to end up with 11 points, and even though he hasn't been playing as well as he did last season, he remains a capable offensive threat for NC State. This was Smith's worst scoring output of the season, but he's still a player that has scored 15 or more points in each of his remaining five games to date. He's averaging 19.0 points per game, which is an upgrade over the 16.3 points per game ha averaged in 2021-22.

ImpactJoiner led the Wolfpack in scoring in this game, but that has been a trend with him in most games during the current season. Even though it's only been six games, Joiner has scored at least 17 points in all but one game and has also scored at least 20 points in two of his last four contests. Terquavion Smith remains a solid go-to player on offense, but Joiner has earned a big role based on his recent performances.
