Participates in exhibition Okojie (shoulder) participated in Memphis' exhibition game Tuesday against North Carolina, according to Parth Upadhyaya of The Daily Memphian.

Impact Back in September, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reported a statement of Memphis' head coach Penny Hardaway saying Okojie could have been available by mid-October. That has proven to be the case, confirmed by his usage during Memphis' exhibition game Tuesday. There is both good and bad with Okojie joining a relatively deep Tigers team perimeter-wise. Tyrese Hunter, PJ Haggerty and Colby Rogers are proven perimeter players who also enrolled at Memphis for this season. However, Okojie has experience working his way up, which he did from a reserve to a starter with George Mason's 2023-24 team.

Still not ready for full contact Okojie (shoulder) is still not ready for full contact, according to Jason Munz of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.

Impact Full contact is the last and only hurdle Okojie must get to for complete clearance, considering he has done everything else before that, as indicated by his practice participation Thursday. Ideally for him and Memphis, he can get back by the time the Tigers and North Carolina play their scheduled exhibition on Oct. 15.

Hopes to be cleared by mid October Okojie (shoulder) is working back from injury and hopes to be cleared for basketball activities at some point between Oct. 11 and Oct. 25, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact The George Mason transfer will reportedly see the doctor again in early October. Okojie averaged 8.1 points, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals as a freshman last season while appearing in 32 games and starting 10. He'll look to be a regular contributor for Memphis, but first he needs to return to the court.
