Impact Sochan left for the locker room in the first half after scoring a pair of points. He couldn't put weight on his leg on his way off the floor and was ruled out very quickly, which may not bode well for his availability for Baylor's next few games.

Impact Sochan couldn't really put any weight on his left leg on the way out, which doesn't seem like a good sign regarding his status for the rest of Saturday or moving forward. The freshman recorded two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3PT) and a rebound prior to his departure from the contest.

Impact Cryer returned to action following a two-game absence and looked impressive, as he left his mark both as a scorer and on defense as well. The sophomore has scored in double digits in just two of his last six contests.

James Akinjo - Drops season-high 27 in blowout Akinjo supplied 27 points (9-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, nine assists and four steals in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 104-68 win over Northwestern State.

Impact Akinjo has had a few rough scoring nights to begin his tenure with Baylor, but he's really picked things up of late and set a new season-high Tuesday. He's been especially productive over his last four games, posting 18.5 points, 6.8 assists and 2.5 steals. On the season, his 6.3 apg average leads all Big 12 players and checks in at No. 11 overall in the country.

Impact Prior to the contest, it was reported that Cryer would be available despite missing a Dec. 20 matchup to rest a foot injury that was surgically repaired this offseason. Baylor jumped out to a 28-point lead in the first half, however, so the team ultimately didn't feel the need to deploy its top sixth-man. The Bears next take on an undefeated Iowa State squad on New Year's Day, which will mark exactly two weeks since Cryer last saw live game action.
