Drops 18 off the bench Mayer came off the bench and provided 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, and four steals in the win over West Virginia on Tuesday. Impact Mayer's 18 points were a season high for the junior. The junior has been mostly a luxury this season with Baylor's strong depth, but he has shown capable of lighting a spark off the bench when his team needs it. Over his last six games, Mayer is averaging 8.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.5 three-pointers in 15.5 minutes per contest. He should be in for a very productive senior season when some of those above him on the depth chart depart. Baylor will be back at it on Thursday against Oklahoma State.
