Path to increased role Tchamwa Tchatchoua is in line to see more minutes at center following Tuesday's announcement via Twitter that Tristan Clark was retiring from basketball. Impact Tchamwa Tchatchoua appeared in 31 games (11 starts) for UNLV in the 2018-19 season, averaging 3.4 points and 3.5 rebounds. In the games he started for the Rebels, the 6-8 forward put up 5.3 points and 6.3 boards. After a year on the sidelines due to NCAA transfer rules, Tchamwa Tchatchoua now has a major opportunity on the horizon, as Clark had originally been projected to serve as Baylor's starting center. With Clark unable to get healthy and effectively stepping away from basketball, it's now likely up to a combination of Tchamwa Tchatchoua and Flo Thamba for minutes at center. Thamba has the advantage of having played with the program for two seasons, but he's never averaged more than 10.0 mpg -- his playing time actually went down his sophomore season. Baylor also has a pair of freshman in Dain Dainja and Zach Loveday that should be capable of helping out in the post if called upon.
