ImpactLohner once again provided a jump off the bench for Baylor, as his stat line almost exactly matched his season averages across the first eight games of 2022-23. The junior transfer from BYU has averaged 6.3 points, 4. 9 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 1.1 steals across 18 minutes per game. He's also converted an efficient 57.6 percent of his 4.1 field-goal attempts while playing at least 13 minutes in every contest with the Bears.

ImpactThamba led the Bears in boards, though the team was still outrebounded 47-32 by the Bulldogs. He also did a solid job slowing down Gonzaga big men Drew Timme and Ben Gregg, as these two combined for just 14 points on 5-of-11 from the field. Thamba leads Baylor with 5.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game, and he should have a chance to put a dominant effort on the boards against Tarleton State on Tuesday.

ImpactLove showed up big against the Bulldogs' star frontcourt, scoring all four of his made field goals in the paint Friday. The redshirt freshman guard also supplied double-digit points off the bench for the second time in the last three games. Love is currently tied for sixth on the Bears in points per game (6.3) despite sitting ninth on the team in minutes per game (11.8). He has also made 11 of his 20 field-goal attempts while playing at least 13 minutes in each of Baylor's last three contests, and he should see plenty of usage if the team gets out to a big lead against Tarleton State on Tuesday.

ImpactGeorge logged a game high in points during this relatively low-scoring battle between two of the nation's top-ranked teams. Coming off the team's worst loss of the season against Marquette, the freshman also shot just above his average from beyond the arc to help establish an early lead, and he also grabbed the team's second-most boards behind forward Flo Thamba (eight). George has struggled with his shooting efficiency over the first eight games of his collegiate career, but he still sits third on the team in points per game (14.9) behind senior Adam Flagler (16.1) and junior L.J. Cryer (16.5).
