Arizona's Bennedict Mathurin named Pac-12 Freshman of Week Oregon's Chris Duarte was named Pac-12 Player of the Week over UA's Terrell Brown.
Season-high 24 minutes off bench Mathurin recorded 13 points (4-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and zero assists across 24 minutes in Thursday's 80-53 win over Washington.
Impact Mathurin played a season-high 24 minutes as Arizona gave more playing time to the bench in the rout. He continues to shoot the ball well, connecting on 38 percent of his attempts from three and hitting 83 percent of his free throw attempts. Mathurin may be in line for a starting role if he continues to outperform Dalen Terry.
