Could play Tuesday Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim said he's "hopeful" Sidibe (knee) will be available to play Tuesday against North Carolina, Mike Waters of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports. Impact After tearing his meniscus in the Nov. 27 season-opening win over Bryant, Sidibe required a minor surgery and has been sidelined ever since. Syracuse was optimistic that Sidibe might be ready to return to action Jan. 6, but he's since proceeded to sit out the team's subsequent two games, extending his streak of absences to eight games. The big man at least seems to have avoided a setback in the recovery process, though he'll still need to increase his activity in practice to have a shot at suiting up in Chapel Hill. Even if active for that contest, Sidibe likely won't be in store for anything more than a minor rotation role.
