Impact Boeheim scored 23 points against Arizona State on Thursday and while this 17-point output was his lowest mark of the campaign, it's worth mentioning he has still scored over 15 points in all six of his games to date. He's averaging a career-best 20.0 points per game.

Impact Boeheim was the leading scorer for Syracuse in this loss, but that shouldn't be surprising given the role he has on the offensive scheme. He has scored at least 18 points in each of his first four appearances of the campaign.

Impact Boeheim was the best player on the course against Drexell and paced Syracuse with an excellent effort, particularly from a scoring perspective. That shouldn't be a surprise, however, as he's expected to be the alpha dog on offense for the Orange as long as he stays healthy. It's only been two games, but the fact that he's averaging 20.5 points per game to begin the year shouldn't go unnoticed.

Impact Boeheim has averaged at least 15.0 points per game in each of his last two seasons, but he displayed elite scoring ability during the NCAA Tournament last season and might have kept the momentum going for this curtain-raiser as well. While Boeheim wasn't exactly accurate with his shot in this one, there's no question he is talented enough to post scoring figures close to the 20-point mark on a regular basis if healthy.

Impact Buddy Boeheim turned and jumped to make a pass to Joseph Girard early in the second half of Syracuse's season-opening exhibition against Pace on Wednesday, but when the senior guard came down, he landed on the foot of Girard's defender and sprained his ankle. While Boeheim was concerned about the severity of the injury, his fears were quickly erased, and he might be able to return to practice Friday. if that's the case, then he might be ready to play in Syracuse's second exhibition against Le Moyne on Monday.
