Curtis Jones - Double figures in 13 straightJones produced 18 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and one block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 68-63 win over BYU.
ImpactJones hit three triples on a 7-for-13 shooting night to finish as one of two Iowa State players to score in double figures. It was the 13th consecutive game Jones has reached double figures, despite coming off the bench for 12 of those contests, while the 18 points were the highest he's scored since Jan. 24 and matched his high-water mark in conference play. Over those 13 games, Jones is averaging 30.1 minutes, 13.6 points, 2.8 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals as he stakes his claim to the title of best sixth man in the Big 12.

Tamin Lipsey - Back to his disruptive waysLipsey finished Wednesday's 68-63 win over BYU with 19 points (7-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and five steals across 34 minutes.
ImpactLipsey was back to his usual disruptive self on Wednesday, leading Iowa State with five steals and 19 points along with matching the team lead with six boards. The 19 points represent a high-water mark for the sophomore in conference play while the five thefts were the most he's had in a game since Jan. 13 and the third time he's reached or surpassed that total this season. The standout sophomore point guard got off to an incredible start this season, averaging 15.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 3.6 steals while shooting nearly 50% from the field, 42.9% from three and maintaining a 2.8 assist-to-turnover ratio. However, he's struggled since the start of conference play with those numbers dipping to 10.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals with a 34.2% field-goal percentage and 30.2% mark from beyond the arc. Iowa State has one of the best guard trios in all of college basketball and a return to form for Lipsey in time for tournament action would legitimize their candidacy as a true Final Four threat.
