ImpactMallette erupted for a season-high 31 points, doing it on just 11 shot attempts as he made five threes for a fourth time this season. He is quickly emerging as one of the best freshman in the conference, shooting 39 percent from long-range. Over his last five games, Mallette is averaging 17.8 points on 60 percent shooting.

Spencer Johnson - Contributes off benchJohnson totaled 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 25 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 91-85 win over Pepperdine.

ImpactAfter playing just seven minutes in the last game, Johnson saw increased playing time in the absence of Fousseyni Traore and responded with 12 of BYU's 23 bench points. It's the first time since Dec. 18 that he's made multiple threes in a game, although he did foul out for the first time this season. Johnson has solid shooting splits of 51/38/70 this season.

ImpactBarcello not only delivered one of the best scoring performances in the entire Saturday slate, but he was also extremely efficient since he missed just two of his 12 shots and just one of his 10 three-point attempts. He's not going to score at such an efficient rate on a regular basis, but his role as BYU's main scorer is not under any sort of question.

Fousseyni Traore - Unavailable SaturdayTraore (undisclosed) won't play Saturday at Pepperdine, according to Greg Wrubell of BYU Athletics.

ImpactTraore suffered a late-game injury at LMU and is unavailable for this contest. This means BYU will have a different starting lineup for a fifth straight game. Traore is averaging 8.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as a freshman.
