Impact Mills fractured his left patella Jan. 4 versus Tulsa and reportedly underwent surgery on Jan. 9 according to head coach Penny Hardaway. Mills appeared in 14 games (five starts) prior to his injury and averaged 7.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 24.3 minutes per game.

Will be out a while Head coach Penny Hardaway was not optimistic on the outlook of Mills' injury after Thursday's win and expects him to be out a while, John Martin of The Daily Memphian reports.

Impact Hardaway did also mention they think Mills may have torn his patella tendon, but they won't know for sure until they run some tests. What they do know is that they will be missing one of their key contributors for quite some time. More on Mills' injury should come to light in the next few days and he should be considered out indefinitely.

Mills has been a regular double-digit scorer for the Seminoles, however, so it wasn't surprising to see him get out of this funk so efficiently.

Impact Mills is one of three active double-digit scorers on a struggling Florida State team, checking in at third with a 13.1 ppg average. What's been most commendable is his consistency, as Mills has reached double figures for the Seminoles in 12 consecutive games. That said, his shooting percentage (41.6) and three-point shooting (32.4) are both down a few percentage points from a season ago, though his ancillary status (3.0 rpg, 3.4 apg) are both up a tick. It's been a forgettable season for Mills and Florida State overall as the team looks to rebound from a 1-9 start to the year. ACC play has been a bit better, at least, as FSU owns a 5-6 record in conference games.
