Stays out Saturday Richard (illness) was out for Saturday's 74-70 loss against Memphis.

Impact Richard remained sidelined against the Tigers with a team-wide illness and was joined by Cyr Malonga and Bencao Vungo once again. The sophomore center has now missed eight straight games, but it's not known whether all were due to the sickness. His next chance to play will be Tuesday against North Texas.

DNP with illness Richard (illness) did not play in East Carolina's 80-79 win over Temple on Wednesday with an illness, per Stephen Igoe of 247Sports.com.

Impact Richard was held out of Wednesday's contest with flu-like symptoms. The sophomore center was joined by teammates Cyr Malonga and Bencao Vungo with similar symptoms. Richard has played a minimal role for the Pirates in his time on the floor this season, averaging 1.3 points in 2.5 minutes per game across just four appearances. His next opportunity to return will come against Memphis on Saturday.

Available again Richard (undisclosed) logged no counting stats across his one minute during East Carolina's 73-62 win Wednesday at Temple.

Impact Richard sat out three games East Carolina played between Dec. 29 and Jan. 7. Since December, he has been a backup dipping his toe into game time whenever healthy, averaging just 3.4 minutes across five games beginning from that month.
