Desi Sills - Three steals in easy winSills totaled six points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and three steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 77-57 victory over Rhode Island.
ImpactSills once again saw significant playing time while coming off the bench for the fourth game in a row. While the graduate transfer saw more significant playing time in a full-time starting role with Arkansas State last season, his rebounding and assist averages have not fallen off significantly, and his playing time has only dropped by 4.8 minutes per contest so far. Sills should continue to contribute on the boards and as a facilitator in Kansas State's common small-ball lineups this season.

Keyontae Johnson - Another double-digit scoring effortJohnson amassed 14 points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes during Monday's 77-57 victory over Rhode Island.
ImpactJohnson scored in double-digits for the fourth straight game to start the 2022-23 campaign. While the Florida transfer did finish as the Wildcats' second-leading scorer behind forward Nae'Quan Tomlin (15), the guard did have a season-high eight attempts from the charity stripe. Johnson has been Kansas State's leading scorer (15.5) so far this season, converting 51.2 percent of his 10.3 field-goal attempts and 43.8 percent of his four three-point tries over four starts, and he should continue this prolific start Tuesday night against Nevada.

David N'Guessan - Efficient in startN'Guessan ended with 12 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 16 minutes before fouling out of Monday's 77-57 victory over Rhode Islan...
ImpactN'Guessan recorded the third-highest scoring performance of his career after coming off the bench for the first time this season during last Thursday's win over UMKC. The 6-foot-9 Virginia Tech transfer was highly effective down low against logged a season high in rebounds against Rhode Island's inexperienced frontcourt. While N'Guessan's stat line did fall short of JUCO transfer Nae'Quan Tomin (15-6-1-5), he played wound up playing 10 fewer minutes than his frontcourt running mate. N'Guessan could continue to see limited playing time behind Tomlin and team-leading scorer Keyontae Johnson.

Josaphat Bilau - Surprisingly playsBilau (shoulder) logged zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 16 minutes during Monday's 77-57 loss to Kansas State.
ImpactBilau was expected to sit out multiple months because of his shoulder injury. Instead, he returned even before one month could be completed. Bilat will try to do much more as a sophomore than as a freshman. He averaged only 0.7 points and 1.1 rebounds across 12 games before transferring to Rhode Island from Wichita State.

Malik Martin - Two points across game startedMartin racked up two points (0-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-4 FT), one rebound and one assist across 21 minutes during Monday's 77-57 loss to Kansas State.
ImpactMartin failed to make any shots across open play during his latest start. Unfortunately for him, his play has been a little inconsistent across Rhode Island's first four games. Currently, Martin is averaging 8.0 points on a 32.4 field goal percentage, 50.0 from the free-throw line.
