ImpactBaylor coach Scott Drew described the absence as precautionary, suggesting Flagler could have played had the stakes been a bit higher (Baylor ultimately prevailed by nearly 50 points). Flagler's absence ultimately allowed L.J. Cryer to see more minutes, as he led the Bears with 20 points across 22 minutes off the bench. As long as no further issues are discovered, however, Flagler should return to a more normal role in what should be a closer game Saturday against Stanford.

Kendall Brown - 19 points in blowout winBrown contributed 19 points (8-13 FG, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two steals in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 92-47 victory over Central Arkansas.
ImpactBrown, James Akinjo, and LJ Cryer all scored at least 18 points in a dominant outing for Baylor. Brown continues to look like possibly the best freshman in the Big 12 this season, averaging 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.7 steals through three games this season. Brown and the Bears will have their first real test on Saturday against Stanford.

ImpactCryer has been explosive through two games off the bench this season, averaging 16.5 points, 3.5 three-pointers, and 2.5 assists per contest. It will be more telling what his usage is in upcoming games against quality opponents like Stanford, Arizona State, and Villanova.
