Back in form Bassey had 22 points (9-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 15 rebounds and five blocks across 32 minutes in Monday's 71-59 victory over FIU. Impact Bassey and the Hilltoppers had a chance to solidify their shot at an at-large NCAA Tournament bid Sunday against Houston, but the team ultimately fell by a whopping 24 points. It was arguably Bassey's worst performance of the season, as he was held to single digits for the first time all year against Houston's stout interior defense. The junior center has since gone back to feasting on sub-par competition, scoring back-to-back double-doubles against the Panthers. He'll presumably get a chance to spot light against fellow NBA talent in the NCAA Tournament, provided WKU is able to take care of business in the C-USA Tournament.
