Impact Lanier stepped up in a big way in his first career NCAA Tournament game. His 29 points were the third-most by a Volunteer in NCAA Tournament game history and his six 3-pointers tied a program tournament record. Lanier now stands second in Tennessee history for most 3-pointers in a season with 116, only behind Chris Lofton who made 118 during the 2007-08 campaign.
