Plans to enter portal Tucker plans to enter the NCAA's transfer portal, per his announcement Friday.

Impact Tucker was a member of Texas-San Antonio's latest team, which included Steve Henson as its head coach. But after the Roadrunners parted ways with him Thursday, some students he helped recruit are considering transfers now. Henson was Tucker's head coach during each of his three seasons enrolled at Texas-San Antonio. The junior improved each campaign, culminating with a 2023-24 output that includes him averaging more than 10 points, five assists and one steal.

Starting Thursday Tucker is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game versus FAU.

Impact Tucker will be making his first start of the year with Japhet Medor sidelined due to an apparent foot injury. Tucker saw just under 15 minutes per game a season ago as a freshman and has seen his role decrease in year two. The 6-3 guard is averaging 8.5 minutes per contest but could get an extended look so long as Medor is hurt.

Impact Tucker was unavailable Thursday against UTEP due to COVID-19 protocols, but he saw considerable playing time off the bench Sunday. He had started each of the five games leading up to his brief absence, so it's not yet clear whether he'll continue to come off the bench. However, the freshman should be available going forward now that he's been cleared to rejoin the team.
