ImpactRice recorded one of his toughest outings since transferring to Texas this offseason. The New Mexico State transfer attempted a season high in threes against the Bluejays, but he continued to falter from beyond the arc, as his three-point efficiency fell to 31.8 percent through the first six games of 2022-23. However, Rice has been much better from the field overall this season (46.5), and he also sits third on the team in minutes per game (23.2) behind starting guards Marcus Carr (28.5) and Tyrese Hunter (27.2). Expect the sixth man to continue playing an important role off the bench against another tough opponent in Illinois on Tuesday.
