Impact Jones was moved to the bench in favor of Milan Momcilovic, then proceeded to lead the team with 20 points over 29 minutes while also contributing five boards and five assists. Jones thrived as the sixth man last year for the Cyclones and looked much more comfortable Monday after posting just five points on 2-for-7 shooting in a starting role during their first game. Whether starting or coming off the bench, Jones will be playing a significant role for Iowa State this season as they like to match up the senior guard with Keshon Gilbert and Tamin Lipsey to deploy one of the most dynamic three-guard tandems in the country.
