Impact Skillings came off the bench to record his best offensive performance in two months, shooting a season-best 7-for-13 from the field en route to his first 15-point performance since early January. The junior guard also added a season-high four assists to go along with his strong defensive play. Following last season's 12.9 point, 6.4 rebound breakout, Skillings was expected to be one of the stars for a Cincinnati club that was ranked 20th in the preseason AP poll. However, Skillings struggled significantly, averaging just 9.2 points and 3.7 rebounds while losing his starting spot midseason. Likewise, the disappointing Bearcats finished with a conference record of 7-13 and will almost certainly be on the outside looking in of the NCAA tournament unless they put together an improbable run through next week's Big 12 tournament.
