Impact Jenkins carved up Georgetown and scored effectively, although his facilitation was much less clean. Shooting a passable 35.4 percent from beyond the arc combined with a lowly 49.8 percent conversion rate on his layup attempts this season creates a scoring floor without much consistency for Jenkins. Saturday marked an excellent showing for his foul-drawing prowess, but the senior is averaging just 2.0 free-throw attempts per game on the season.

Following a win over No. 15 Creighton, St. John's head coach Rick Pitino offered some clarity on his criticism of his team last week.

Back-to-back poor games Jenkins posted six points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one block over 22 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 79-73 win over West Virginia.

Impact Jenkins has combined for eight points on 3-for-12 shooting across his past two games, although he's accumulated an 11:2 AST:TO ratio over that span. After averaging 4.2 turnovers in the Red Storm's first five contests, Jenkins is trending in the right direction from a game-management standpoint. However, he is limping to 38.8 percent shooting from the field, including 44.0 percent shooting at the basket -- which ranks in the bottom-15 percent of all players.

Impact Jenkins seems to have made a good decision in following coach Rick Pitino from Iona to St. John's. The fourth-year guard trailed only Joel Soriano in scoring Tuesday, while representing the only member of the Red Storm to exceed four assists. He's the clear initiator of the offense.

Impact Jenkins logged just 21 minutes, but he also picked up three fouls in his limited run. It was peculiar to see Jenkins so uninvolved offensively after attempting 13.6 shots per game at Iona last season. Losing to a Division II team in a scrimmage isn't ideal with St. John's regular-season opener on deck. Stony Brook comes to town Nov. 7.
