Impact Tony Bennett surprisingly retiring as Virginia's head coach gives UVA players an opportunity to enter the transfer portal if they please. And while none of them have thus far, Barber mentioned that Harris entered the portal on Oct. 1. The junior not being part of UVA's 2024-25 roster confirms Barber's statement.

Impact Harris has yet to play this season while away from the team to undisclosed personal reasons, which have apparently spurred him to leave the Georgetown program altogether. The junior point guard was the Hoyas' top returning scorer from the 2021-22 season, when he averaged 11.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 29 starts. He should have at least two years of remaining collegiate eligibility.
