Impact Brodie picked up 26 combined rebounds between the MVC semifinals and title games, helping the nation's No. 4 team in defensive rebounding rate clinch a conference title and NCAA Tournament automatic bid. The senior is having his best year out of three solid seasons with the Bulldogs, posting averages of 8.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks (all career highs). He's also shooting an impressive 53.1 percent from the field across 34 games started.

Starting first game of season Brodie (not injury related) is starting Wednesday's season opener against Kansas State, Ryan Black of The Manhattan Mercury reports.
Impact Brodie transferred from Seton Hall to Drake in April, and he was apparently granted a waiver for immediate eligibility, as he'll begin the season in the starting five for the Bulldogs. The 6-9 center saw minimal playing time over his first two collegiate seasons but should take on a larger role for Drake.
