But with Wrubell's announcement Sunday, fantasy managers should not expect the ex-Irvine transfer to play again until late-2024 at the earliest. Baker averaged more than 10 points across each of BYU's three seasons between 2020 and 2023, so it is disappointing and unfortunate that a foot injury wrecked his chances of replicating that feat for a fourth consecutive time.

Impact Baker was expected to be out until December, an initial diagnosis that could not have been more accurate, as he made his BYU debut right in the middle of the month. The transfer averaged more than 10.0 points during each of his three seasons with UC Irvine. While his BYU debut was relatively uninspiring, Baker still has plenty of time to turn his Cougars career around and continue his old ways.
