Collects third double-double in win Garcia gathered 24 points (9-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 11 rebounds and two assists through 37 minutes during the 83-70 win over North Carolina on Wednesday.

Impact Garcia was terrific in the win Wednesday. The forward led the team in points and rebounds and recorded his third double-double of the season. He managed to also shoot 58.8 percent from the floor and went perfect from the line. Garcia has been quiet streaky this year, but when he finds his rhythm he is on. When it comes to Marquette, he is going to be one of the most important players to their success and because of that he still warrants a stream.

Impact Garcia was forced to exit the contest in the first half due to an issue with his non-shooting hand, but he was back in action to start the second half. There hasn't been any indication of the nature of this potential injury, but it will be something worth taking into consideration for those considering deploying the freshman Saturday at UConn.

Impact Garcia has now scored 20 points in back-to-back games and three times since the start of Big East play. The 6-11 forward is averaging 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds while shooting 51.3 percent from the field, making a strong case for Big East freshman honors once it's all said and done. He and the Golden Eagles have an incredibly up-tempo matchup on tap when they head to St. John's on Saturday.

Leads team in points again Garcia recorded 20 points (7-12, 2-3 3PT, 4-4 FT) and 11 rebounds in 36 minutes in the 65-54 loss to Connecticut on Tuesday.

Impact Garcia was easily the best shooter for the Golden Eagles in the loss Tuesday. The forward did everything he could to help spark any sort of offensive burst from Marquette, but was the lone producer. No matter the opposition, Garcia will continue to be a force in the paint and from the floor, doing everything he can to lead Marquette to victories. It is more his supporting cast that is the problem.

Impact Garica did as much as he could in the loss Sunday. The forward posted a season high 20 points and almost went perfect on the floor and did go 100 percent from the line. Garcia has proved that he can shine in crunch time and that he can consistently produce for the Golden Eagles. He only has more room to improve and will look to make a few leaps this year and help pull Marquette to the upper-half of the conference.

Impact It was a career-high in rebounding and first double-double for the freshman, who seems to be taking advantage of the fact that center Theo John appears to be limited by a knee injury. The volume has at least been consistent for Garcia, as he's attempted double-digit shots in five of seven games this season, including his last four. The 6-11 power forward is converting those at a rate of 43.1 percent, including 38.9 percent from beyond the arc. There is a ton of long-term upside here if he sticks with the program for multiple seasons.
