ImpactOn a night where Delaware's three starting guards went a combined 4-for-22 from the field, Davis and frontcourt partner Andrew Carr were able to carry the load, with Carrr going 6-for-7 en route to a double-double. With respect to Davis individually, it's essentially been a tale of two seasons. He averaged 4.5 ppg over the first 17 games, which included missing a four-game stretch. Since then, Davis has poured in 16.0 ppg over a 13-game run, which has included an entrance to the starting five in the CAA tournament, culminating in a season-high 36 minutes Tuesday. Dylan Painter still waits in the wings as he's gradually eased back from an ankle injury, and considering he's the leading rebounder, it wouldn't be shocking to see him ramp up his workload. Still, it's tough to deny the key contributions from Davis in his freshman campaign.
