Heating up for HuskiesMartin had 22 points (9-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and three assists in Wednesday's 82-61 victory over DePaul.

ImpactMartin logged his first of three double-digit rebounding performances in the second game of the season against Hartford, and after that, started the next three games. It looks like he'll hang on to that starting spot even with Tyler Polley and Josh Carlton available, as it's difficult to argue with this kind of production. He'll face another conference challenge Tuesday when the Huskies head to Milwaukee to face Marquette.

Double-double off benchCarlton had 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds and one block in 26 minutes off the bench Wednesday against DePaul.

ImpactCarlton had a one-game stint in the starting five in the Big East opener against Creighton, but his best efforts have been off the bench this season. In any case, it's a big step up from only playing three minutes in the first two games of the year back in November. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Carlton is a double-double threat for a deep UConn roster. The 6-11 senior can also help in the blocks department. He has five rejections in his last three games, but did have a season in which he averaged 1.8 bpg.

ImpactPolley ultimately only missed one game due to COVID protocols, and while he's back in action, he hasn't yet regained the starting spot he had at the beginning of the year. Adama Sanogo has stepped into the starting five in his stead, but given Sanogo only played seven minutes in this contest, a change is likely on the horizon.
