Out Tuesday Carter (ankle) was not dressed ahead of Tuesday's NIT matchup against Boston College and will not play, Bill Koch of The Providence Journal reports.

Impact Carter has not missed a game since December, but will not play against Boston College in the first round of the NIT tournament. The former Big East player of the year averaged 19.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 steals this season, leading his team in each category. Though its unknown if Providence will win against the Eagles, Carter's status is questionable for any possible future games in the NIT tournament.

Impact Providence's head coach Kim English said Monday that he is thinking of holding Carter out Tuesday. Dealing with an ankle injury and having undergone a lot of wear and tear recently, it would not be surprising if the Friars do not have him participate in their invitational matchup Tuesday.
