Leaving Kentucky Wagner has announced that he will enter the NCAA transfer portal, Travis Branham of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Wagner will depart from Kentucky after a breakout freshman campaign with the program. The 6-foot-4 guard appeared in 29 games with the Wildcats (28 starts), averaging 9.9 points, 1.9 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 0.8 steals on 25.8 minutes per game. Wagner joins Zvonimir Ivisic in the portal in the wake of the news that John Calipari will leave the program to coach at Arkansas.

Impact The freshman had himself a solid performance scoring 16 points and managed to hit five of his seven free-throw attempts during Tuesday's win over Mizzou. Wagner is now shooting 44.2 percent from the field this season. You can expect the guard to continue to excel in the starting rotation as the season goes on.

Impact Wagner has held on to his starting role with Kentucky despite the fact the was shooting 31.9 percent from the field entering Monday's game, as well as the fact that Robert Dillingham has been impressive off the bench. The 6-4 freshman changed the narrative a bit in this OT victory, however, as Wagner recorded a career high in both scoring and assists. He'll look to carry that momentum into Friday's matchup against Marshall.
