Impact Wilkins has been on the grind since tearing his ACL back in early March. It's unclear when exactly he could be expected back, but at one point, head coach Darian DeVries said he expected the 6-2 senior back in September or October. Whenever he returns, Wilkins will be an immediate impact player for the Bulldogs after averaging double-digit scoring in three of his four years with the program. His status ahead of the team's Nov. 9 opener will certainly be worth monitoring.

Out for season with torn ACL Wilkins suffered a torn ACL during Saturday's 62-60 win over Southern Illinois and will miss the rest of the season.
Impact Wilkins has been a significant contributor for Drake this season with averages of 10.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.9 steals in 28.6 minutes. The senior guard is eligible to return for the 2022-23 campaign due to the extra year of eligibility from the COVID-19 pandemic, though it remains to be seen if he intends to continue his collegiate career.
