Impact Less than one week after the Bulldogs were defeated by Utah State, thereby ending their 2023-24 season, Yap is considering a transfer before his last season of collegiate eligibility. What makes him stand out over other portal entries is his excellence as a reserve. Yap played 14 games off the 2023-24 Bulldogs' bench and averaged more than 10 points with a limited role.

Impact Yap was expected to miss the remainder of his senior campaign after sustaining a hand injury in early February, but he was able to return to the court Tuesday. The senior guard erupted with a much-needed scoring outburst in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament, dropping 16 points with extremely efficient shooting splits of 80/50/87.5. The Las Vegas native will look to help the Bulldogs pull off an upset against No. 1 seeded Utah State on Mar. 14.
