Starting openerMurphy (knee) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's season opener versus Kansas State, Ryan Black of The Manhattan Mercury reports.
ImpactMurphy gets back in the action after his 2019-20 season ended after just six games due to a knee injury. He was a major contributor in 2018-19, averaging 10.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest, and figures to see plenty of minutes for the Bulldogs again this season now that he's healthy.

Starting first game of seasonBrodie (not injury related) is starting Wednesday's season opener against Kansas State, Ryan Black of The Manhattan Mercury reports.
ImpactBrodie transferred from Seton Hall to Drake in April, and he was apparently granted a waiver for immediate eligibility, as he'll begin the season in the starting five for the Bulldogs. The 6-9 center saw minimal playing time over his first two collegiate seasons but should take on a larger role for Drake.
