Path to minutes at Mizzou Buggs could see time on the court alongside Dru Smith and Xavier Pinson, Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Impact Buggs was an integral part of the Hawaii program and started 88 of 91 career games there, but the original expectation was that his playing time would take a hit after transferring to Missouri. After all, both Smith (3.9 apg) and Pinson (2.8 apg) are capable distributors, so it was unclear immediately how he might fit in. Coach Cuonzo Martin seems to appreciate the fact that he's a pass-first guard, however, while also praising his communication skills. It's still a far cry to assume Buggs will be an immediate fantasy factor, but it seems he's earned a level of trust among teammates despite just arriving on campus this year.
