Sees court briefly Coleman (ankle) saw a minute on the court in Saturday's season opener against Coppin State.

Impact Coleman had dealt with an ankle injury in practice, but the fact he was on the court suggests it's no longer a major issue. His playing time may be inconsistent this year, however, as Duke went with a small starting lineup featuring Matthew Hurt at center. As for the rest of the depth chart at the position, Mark Williams saw the court for four minutes, while Columbia transfer Patrick Tape stayed on the bench.

Stellar collegiate debut Johnson had 19 points (8-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 19 rebounds, five assists and four blocks across 35 minutes in Saturday's 81-71 victory over Coppin State.

Impact Not only was Johnson the only freshman to crack the starting five, but he led the Blue Devils in minutes played and was second on the team to only D.J. Steward in scoring (24 points). It would have been a perfect day had it not been for the seven turnovers he committed, but fantasy players can certainly live with that given the outstanding production. All in all, it was an excellent way to get the likely one-and-done player some reps, as Duke will now shift focus to a showdown against a far superior defensive unit in Michigan State on Tuesday.

Impact It appears Duke may have just been overly cautious with the management of Hurt's injury, as he was held out of a Friday scrimmage due to what was originally described as a minor leg injury. Hurt will likely be a big piece of Duke's offensive offering in 2020-21, as he's the leading returning scorer (9.7 ppg) and projected starter at power forward. He and the Blue Devils open up the season Nov. 25 against Gardner-Webb, followed by a showdown with Coppin State on Nov. 28.
