Mark Williams - Solid on both endsWilliams contributed 17 points (8-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, five blocks and two steals across 29 minutes during Friday's 84-81 victory over Gonzaga.
ImpactWilliams appears to be rounding into the same form that saw him finish last season strong, as he's averaging 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds over his last four contests. Arguably the most impressive has been his defensive prowess, as he's posting 4.3 rejections over that stretch following Friday's five-block effort. Gonzaga's strength is in the paint with the likes of Chet Holmgren and Drew Timme, but Williams' efforts were a major reason both options were held under 20 points. Foul trouble can still be a concern if teams make a concentrated effort to attack him, but Williams churned out a season-high 29 minutes Friday despite a few bad-luck calls, showing he can be a key cog in the undefeated Duke machine even when the going gets tough.

Paolo Banchero - Tallies 21 despite crampingBanchero provided 21 points (8-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Friday's 84-81 win over Gonzaga.
ImpactWhile Duke was ultimately able to pull out the victory and remain unbeaten, Banchero's lack of second-half contributions is starting to become a bit of a valid concern. He took over the game in the first period, scoring 20 of his points, but again missed long stretches in the second half while dealing with cramping. This was the case as well in the season opener against Kentucky despite him putting up 22 points. Hydration has seemingly been the only significant obstacle for the future lottery pick so far this season, but it still hasn't prevented him from posting 18.3 points and 7.6 rebounds through seven contests.
