Impact Mahorcic originally suffered what he thought might be a career-ending injury when he fell Dec. 6 against Coppin State and saw his kneecap out of place. He appears to have made significant progress since then, and even another reporter, Luke DeCock of the Charlotte News & Observer, seems to believe he's close to a return. Considering Mahorcic didn't dress for Saturday's matchup at Wake Forest, it seems unlikely that return would happen Wednesday at Florida State. Still, seeing the court again this season seems like a realistic possibility for the 6-10 senior. The Wolfpack could certainly use the depth down low as the team looks to lock up an NCAA Tournament bid.

Impact Mahorcic dislocated his right patella, also known as the kneecap. He underwent surgery and will sit out North Carolina State's future games until further notice. Though the Wolfpack have not named his replacement, D.J. Burns is expected to be a recurring part of their starting lineup now.
