Impact Joiner started the first the first six games of the season for the Golden Hurricane, but sat out Dec. 23 against Southwestern Christian due to what was vaguely reported as an Achilles injury. It doesn't appear to be a long-term concern, however, as he was back in the starting five Tuesday and helped lead Tulsa to a massive upset against the projected top team in the American conference. Joiner's minutes were one of his lowest of the year, but that appears mostly related to foul trouble instead of any injury. The senior guard certainly has potential to get in a groove, as he averaged 11.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists over the season's first four games.
