Resumes light practice work Curry (knee) has received clearance to take part in light practice drills over the past month, Brian Bennett of The Athletic reports. Impact Curry is working his way back from a torn ACL in his right knee, the latest in a string of serious injuries for the 6-foot-9, 240-pound center. Since appearing in 34 games as a true freshman in 2016-17, Curry has been limited to 15 appearances over the past three seasons, missing time due to an ACL tear in his left knee, a subsequent follow-up scope of that knee, and a right foot injury. Though Curry isn't doing much running or jumping after his latest setback, he's confident he'll be ready to go for the start of his fifth season of college in 2020-21. Even with Daniel Oturu moving on to the professional ranks, Curry is expected to fill a reserve role in the frontcourt, as Minnesota landed Drake transfer Liam Robbins to take over as its starting center this season.
