Pierre Brooks - Catalyst for ButlerBrooks accumulated 26 points (9-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Friday's 88-78 win over Penn State.
ImpactBrooks barely cracked the rotation in his first two collegiate seasons at Michigan State, but his role has grown significantly in his first year at Butler. The 6-6 wing has started all six games for the Bulldogs and reached double-digit scoring in each, leading up to a career performance Friday. His outside shooting has been particularly good, as he's cashed multiple three-pointers in all but one game and is shooting 37.8 percent from distance, so it comes as little surprise he was able to knock down five treys in the double-digit victory.
