Jonathan Aybar - Available againAybar (undisclosed) logged two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound across his 16 minutes during Florida International's 70-63 loss Saturday at Jacksonville State.
ImpactFortunately for Aybar, he was out only once due to the undisclosed problem that caused his DNP of Florida International's game Dec. 30 at Utah Tech. But perhaps because the junior student recently became available, he was limited to playing fewer than 20 minutes again. One-game absences followed by restricted game time have been a frequent occurrence for Aybar since December. Ideally for him, he can get back to November form, which includes him averaging 9.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.6 steals across nine games.

ImpactAybar was unable to last up the sneakers last time out, but he participated fully in practice Friday and appears set to make his return to action Saturday. Aybar has racked up 7.7 points, 3.8 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.3 steals per contest for FIU this season while shooting 57.4 percent from the field and 76.2 percent from the charity stripe, both career-best marks.
