Malik Osborne - Getting surgery Thursday Florida State head coach Leonard Hamilton confirmed Osborne will undergo season-ending ankle surgery Thursday, Curt Weiler of the Tallahassee Democrat reports. Impact Per Weiler, Hamilton noted that Osborne will have an extra year of eligibility in 2022-23 due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the 2020-21 season, though the coach is uncertain if the big man will use it. After beginning his career at Rice, Osborne joined Florida State ahead of the 2018-19 season, which he sat out due to NCAA transfer rules. He's been active for the last three years and started in 14 of his 17 appearances in 2021-22, averaging 10.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.2 three-pointers, 1.0 steals and 0.9 assists in 27.5 minutes per game.
