Shines in bench role Kepnang supplied 17 points (7-9 FG, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and one block in 29 minutes during Sunday's 69-67 OT loss to Arizona State.

Impact Kepnang led the Ducks with a career-high 17 points as he only missed two shots from the field. Oregon seems to still be trying to figure out the big man's role, as he has started a pair of games and played a season-high 29 minutes in the loss to Arizona State. Kepnang has been productive when given an opportunity, connecting on 58 percent of his shot attempts.

Plays 12 minutes off bench Kepnang (concussion) had seven points (2-4 FG, 3-4 FT) and four rebounds in 12 minutes of action during Tuesday's 83-66 win over Texas Southern.

Impact The towering 6-11 sophomore came in questionable for Tuesday's contest due to an apparent concussion but was still able to provide some minutes off the bench. Kepnang had been in contention for the starting center role at one point. The Ducks went small with 6-8 Quincy Guerrier manning the five spot, so it remains to be seen if Kepnang will see certain starts in the starting unit if head coach Dana Altman ever decides to add some size.

Has been tending to concussion Kepnang has missed time of late due to a concussion, which makes him uncertain for Tuesday's opener against Texas Southern, Matt Prehm of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact At one point in contention to be the starting center for the Ducks, it's now a bit cloudy whether Kepnang will even be available for the opener. With Quincy Guerrier nursing an ankle injury and N'Faly Dante still rehabbing a knee injury, Oregon may have to rely heavily on freshman Nate Bittle early.
