ImpactIt's admittedly a bit concerning how much the starters were on the court, as the Spartans were able to fend off a Division II opponent by only eight points. That's not to take away from what was an excellent individual performance from the senior, who made his eighth career start in the contest. Washington came on strong at the end of last season, averaging 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists over the last 10 games to earn a starting spot. It's early, but it appears he's carried that momentum into the 2020-21 campaign. Washington and the Spartans will get a much tougher test when they face St. Mary's on Friday.
