Thomas Sorber - Stellar line in defeatSorber recorded 25 points (10-17 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 15 rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals across 40 minutes during Saturday's 78-68 loss to Providence.
ImpactSorber returned from a one-game absence Monday and recorded a double-double, but Saturday was quite possibly his best individual effort of the year. The freshman set a new career-best rebounding total while matching his career high in scoring, which was originally set all the way back on Nov. 9. Coach Ed Cooley clearly has something special in the 6-10 freshman, and while the Hoyas have lost five of six to fall to 4-5 in Big East play, the future is certainly looking brighter.
