ImpactMayo certainly has the ability to score in bunches after back-to-back seasons of 18.0 ppg or greater at South Dakota State, but it was a bit surprising seeing the senior work in a reserve capacity after starting in exhibition play. That didn't affect his usage, however, as he led the Jayhawks in scoring and tied KJ Adams for the most minutes played. Mayo will look for a repeat performance in upcoming matchups against North Carolina (Friday) and Michigan State (Tuesday).
