Impact Tyson was coming off five straight games on the sidelines, so the lone fact that he was able to take the court should be considered a positive sign for the junior. That said, he hasn't started a game since Nov. 26 and might very well remain on a bench role moving forward.

Expected to play Saturday Tyson (face) returned to practice Wednesday and is expected to play Saturday against Virginia, Anna Hickey of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Tyson has missed the past five games after taking a knee to the face against Alabama. After returning to practice Wednesday, it appears he's good to go for Saturday's game. In his four full games this season, Tyson is averaging 6.0 points and 5.5 rebounds over 17.3 minutes per game.

Impact Tyson logged just six minutes in the Alabama contest and was unable to take the floor Tuesday because of the injury. It sounds like there will be more absences on the way, though it's unclear exactly how severe the facial injury is at this point.

Impact Tyson came off the bench but still enjoyed a strong run of minutes, as he was one of nine Clemson players that played at least 17 minutes. He took advantage of that to be the team's leading scorer, and that scoring outburst came out of nowhere -- he had scored a combined eight points in his first two games of the season, both as a starter.
