Impact In a statement, Virginia Tech basketball said "Temple transfer point guard Hysier Miller has been permanently released from the Virginia Tech men's basketball program due to circumstances prior to his enrollment at Virginia Tech." Miller was a huge piece of the Hokies' transfer class, as he was excellent for Temple last season, averaging 16.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists across 36 starts. Virginia Tech will need a new starting point guard, and the candidates include Brandon Rechsteiner, Ben Hammond and others.
